Apr. 28– Concordia womens golf coach Matt Higgins has announced that Kelly Godwin and Melissa Burrows have committed to play golf in 2006-07 for the Golden Bears.
Godwin, a senior from Centennial high school was a memeber of the class AA state team as a junior as well as being a two-time all-conference performer. She is a ten-time individual medalist and a two-time state participant. Her junior stroke average was 79.75.
"Kelly has improved a lot throughout her high school career," says Higgins. "Kelly has proved that she can play and win under pressure. I'm very excited that she will join our program and expect her to immediately make an impact within our conference and region!"
Burrows, a senior at Delevan-Darien high school is a four-time letterwinner and a three-time sectional qualifier at the WIAA Division I level. She had a 87.0 stroke average as a junior.
"Melissa has tremendous potential. She's a great student and I expect her to step in and help our team scores this fall. I'm very excited to work with her during her college career."
