May. 09– Junior Kyle Warren has been named the NSIC athlete of the week after his performance in the 800 on Saturday.  Warren provisionally qualified for the NCAA outdoor championships in setting a new school-record and winning the 800 meter run at the Howard Wood Relays in Sioux Falls, SD. He finished in a time of 1:51.51 which is the eighth fastest race at the DII level this season.

The 2006 NCAA outdoor championships will take place May 25-27 at Francis G. Welch Stadium-Zola Witten Track in Emporia, Kansas.  The 800m prelim will take place on Friday, May 26 at 6:15 p.m. and the finals at 6:59 on Saturday, May 27.
