Jul. 24– Senior defensive tackle Eric Power was named to the 2006 Don Hansen's Football Gazette Preseason All-America Team. Power is one of six players in the Northern Sun to be selected to the team, which is comprised of 147 NCAA Division II football players. This marks the 19th year that the publication has selected preseason All-Americans.

In 2005, Power dominated as he anchored a Concordia defense that ranked first in the NSIC in rushing yards allowed and total defense. He led the league with 8.0 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss while totaling 45.0 tackles on the season. He earned second team All-America by Hansen's Gazette, All-America honorable mention by CollegeSportsReport.com and first team all-region by the Gazette.
