Chad Welk is in his third season with the Golden Bears program where he works with post players and is in charge of strength and conditioning.

Welk is a 2000 graduate of Augustana College, where he graduated with a degree in fitness management and exercise science. He also holds a masters degree in athletic management from St. Thomas.

While at Augustana, Welk was a two-time all-NCC selection and scored over 1,000 career points in three seasons as a Viking. He was team captain as a junior and senior. Welk spent his freshman year at Southwest Minnesota State before transferring to Augustana. He was a four-year starter.

Welk and his wife Mitzi reside in Lakeville with their great danes.
