Brundidge Tabbed Daktronics All-North Central Region First Team
May. 08 - Concordia sophomore Abby Brudidge (Neekoosa, WI) added another award to her season resume as she was named to the Daktonics All-North Central Region first team at the designated player position. The All-Region team is voted on by the Sports Information Directors from the North Central Region of Division II.
Bjorlin Earns Third Team Academic All-District
May. 08 - Concordia sophomore Anna Bjorlin (Hermantown, MN) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District third team.  The district, which consists of NCAA II, NCAA III, and NAIA school from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana, was voted on by sports information directors from schools within the district. 
Brundidge Named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II First Team All-Region
May. 08 - Concordia sophomore Abby Brudidge (Neekoosa, WI) was named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Region Team voted on by the coaches and announced today.  She was selected as the top utility/non-pitcher in the North Central Region.
Golden Bears Season Ends at NSIC Tournament
May. 04 - The Golden Bears earned a 2-1 win over MSU Moorhead (18-22) in their first game Sunday in the elimination round of the NSIC tournament in Marshall, Minn., but were defeated by the University of Mary 6-0 in the second game of the day.  Concordia ends the season with a 27-22 overall record.
Concordia Goes 1-1 at NSIC Tournament; Moves to Playback Bracket
May. 03 - Concordia (26-21) earned a 4-2 win over the University of Mary (28-29) in the opening round of the NSIC tournament Saturday afternoon in Marshall, MN.  But the host school, #8 Southwest Minnesota State (37-8) sent the Golden Bears into the playback bracket with a 5-0 win in the second game of the day.  CU will play MSU Moorhead Sunday at 10:00 in the elimination bracket.
NSIC Tournament Games Pushed Back Two Hours
May. 02 - The NSIC Women's Softball Tournament game times for Saturday, May 3rd have been pushed back two hours due to poor weather predicted in the morning hours. Games will start at noon rather than 10:00 a.m. as previously scheduled.
Golden Bears Land Five on NSIC All-Conference Squad
May. 02 - The NSIC has released the 2008 NSIC all-conference softball team and it includes five Golden Bears among the 30 players to make the team. Anna Bjorlin, Abby Brundidge, Natalie Mast and Sami Mattson earned first team honors, while Stephanie Schmikla was an honorable mention selection.
NSIC Tournament Moved to Saturday and Sunday
Apr. 30 - NSIC Commissioner Butch Raymond has announced that the 2008 NSIC Women's Softball Tournament has been pushed back a day due to poor weather predictions. The tournament, being hosted by Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minn., has been changed from Friday/Saturday to  Saturday/Sunday as fairer weather conditions are predicted for those days.
Concordia Draws Mary in Opening Round of NSIC Tournament
Apr. 29 - The Golden Bears will enter the 2008 NSIC tournament as the fifth seed.  They will play fourth seed Mary in the opening round on Friday, May 2 at 12:00 on the Mashall Softball Complex field in Marshall, MN.  Southwest Minnesota State, the winner of the regular-season title will host the tournament.
#13 Southwest Minnesota State Takes Two From Concordia
Apr. 28 - The #13-ranked Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State 0 (33-8, 17-1 NSIC) used runs in the seventh inning in back-to-back games to sweep Concordia (25-20, 11-7 NSIC) in the regular-season finale for both teams at Dunning Field Monday afternoon.  SMSU took game one 11-4 and game two 5-3.
