Performing Ensembles at Concordia

Placement in Concordia's choirs, band, and ensembles is by auditions.  While most auditions take place prior to the fall semester, others may occur throughout the year.

Concordia's choirs include the Christus Chorus, Jubilate, Chamber Choir and the Shades of Harmony Gospel Choir
Christus Chorus performs major choral works and tours nationally (and internationally every 4 years).  The group has performed for state and regional music educator conventions, national church gatherings, and with the Minnesota Orchestra.
Jubilate performs in campus chapel services and music department concerts.
The Chamber Choir is a select mixed ensemble specializing in sacred art and popular music.
The Shades of Harmony Gospel Choir is made up of students, staff, and community members and sings new arrangements of Gospel music.
Singers can also participate in Concordia's Opera Workshop in the spring semester.

The Concert Band performs standard concert band and wind ensemble literature at concerts, chapel services and tours nationally.
Other music ensembles include:

 Jazz Band and Jazz Combo
 Chamber String Ensemble
 Handbell Ensemble
 Beginning Handbells and Handbell Ensemble
 Percussion Ensemble
 Flute Ensemble
 Woodwind Ensemble
 Saxophone Ensemble
 Guitar Ensemble
 Brass Ensemble
 Chapel Band
 Musical Theatre Pit Orchestra
