Throughout the 120-year history of Concordia University, St. Paul, the humanities have held an esteemed position in the academic curriculum. At today’s Concordia, the academic home of the humanities is in the College of Arts and Letters, which comprises the departments of art and design, communication studies, English and modern languages, history and political science, music, theatre and dance, and theology and ministry.
To recognize the varied contributions these disciplines make to our intellectual life together, and to showcase some of the research and teaching that professors from these departments do, the College is sponsoring “A Celebration of the Humanities” on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18, 2013.
