Drew D. Gerdes
Drew D. Gerdes is a nationally sought-after speaker on a variety of topics related to early childhood education. Audiences in the Lutheran School System, as well as public schools and independent preschools enjoy Drew's lively, real-world presentations. Drew serves as Early Childhood Director at Messiah Lutheran School in Weldon Spring, Missouri. He also previously served at Springfield Lutheran School in Springfield, Missouri, where he taught Kindergarten and Preschool, amongst other responsibilities. Drew enjoys meeting teachers from around the nation and learning from their own experiences, too! Great teachers always borrow from one another! In addition to speaking, Drew is an author of various articles, blog items, devotions, and curriculum materials. Drew and his wife, Valerie, live in St. Charles County, Missouri.

Katy Smith is a licensed parent educator at Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) with two undergraduate degrees in social work and in parent education from Winona State University. She has master's degrees in Education from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse and In Early Childhood Public Policy and Advocacy from Walden University. Katy lives and teaches in Winona with her husband. They raised three daughters who visit often enough. Katy is the 2011-12 Minnesota Teacher of the Year, the first early childhood and parent educator to be honored with the award.
