The search process to select the ninth president of Concordia University, St. Paul is underway. The presidential search committee is in the preparation phase of the search and will begin accepting nominations in September. The new president is expected to be elected in April 2011.
In July 2010, The Rev. Dr. Robert Holst, current president, announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2010-2011 academic year. Holst, who became Concordia's president in 1991, has guided the university through much change and growth including its transition from Concordia College to Concordia University, St. Paul in 1997. During his tenure, the university has seen significant growth in its campus facilities, enrollment, community involvement and community partnerships.
