Jeffrey Williams, a senior History major at Concordia University, St. Paul, was recently appointed to the Minnesota Civil War Commemoration Task Force by Governor Mark Dayton. The task force's primary role is to plan the official State of Minnesota ccommemorations to observe the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War which was fought from 1861-1865. Williams was also appointed to the education subcommittee, and will be serving as chair of that subcommittee. His commission expires in January 2015.
