The Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce presented Concordia University, St. Paul with its Celebrate Business Success Award at its monthly membership meeting Oct. 15. Introduced in 2005, the award honors businesses and individuals in the community who are leaders in contributing to a shared vision of economic success throughout the St. Paul/East Metro area.
“Concordia was specifically selected for its rich programs and educational opportunities that enhance the vitality of our region and foster future business leaders,” said Kelsey Siquland, SPACC’s manager of marketing and communications. “Even more so we wanted to recognize Concordia for the recent news of its $10,000 reduction in tuition as an admirable offer for students struggling to pursue an affordable education.”
Dr. Eric LaMott, Senior Vice President and Chief Operation Officer at Concordia accepted the Celebrate Business Award on behalf of the university.
The Chamber receives hundreds of nominations each year for the award, from which 15 winners are chosen. With nearly 1,200 members, the SPACC is the largest local chamber in Minnesota.
