Dr. Peter Rundquist, chair of Concordia University, St. Paul's forthcoming Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, received the Steve Gudas Award for Outstanding Publication in Rehabilitation Oncology at the 2013 Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) January 20-24, in San Diego.
The award is established by the APTA Oncology section to recognize those persons whose written publication in the Section's Journal, Rehabilitation Oncology, has resulted in advancement of the practice of oncology physical therapy.
Co-written by four authors, the publication’s title is “Effects of lymphedema on shoulder kinematics and function in survivors of breast cancer: an observational study”, 2012 Rehabilitation Oncology 30(3):9-14.
Concordia, St. Paul is currently in the planning phase for offering a Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. This program has not yet been submitted to accrediting agencies for final approval. When the program becomes available a press release and prospective student information will be sent out.
