Dr. Kevin Hall, assistant professor and director of the Director of Christian Education (DCE) Program at Concordia University, St. Paul, will present “Sailing into Student Learning: Advancing student learning through a balanced approach to higher education teaching” at the 19th Annual Midwest Qualitative Research Conference (MQRC) Oct. 3 at the University of St. Thomas.
Hall, who earned a B.A. in Education from Concordia in 1983, teaches Christian ministry, education and leadership courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He has served as the director of the DCE program since coming to Concordia in 2006. Hall earned his Ed.D. from St. Thomas in 2012.
The conference will showcase scholarly investigations that use qualitative methodologies to understand all aspects of the human experience. It will also include presentations on qualitative research including topics covering Comparative Leadership, K-12 Education, Workplace Well Being and Social Media.
The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Victor Rios, Professor of Sociology from the University of California-Santa Barbara.
