The Hmong Culture and Language Program at Concordia University, St. Paul is hosting a benefit concert for its two-week summer camp on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 6 p.m. in the Buetow Music Center Auditorium. The concert will feature an array of local artists and entertainers.
Tickets for the third-annual event are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. All proceeds and donations will go towards the funding of the two-week summer camp program, scheduled for July 28-August 8, 2014.
The Hmong Culture and Language Program is a non-profit year-round program, which also includes an additional two-week, day-camp summer session. Our mission is to preserve the Hmong culture through storytelling, gardening and art. During the program, students Kindergarten through 12th grade attend various classes ranging from Hmong dancing, Hmong writing/reading, traditional instrument (qeej), sewing (paj ntaub), gardening and more.
