5K Walk/Run Honors Scott Harr, Supports Scholarship
Concordia faculty, staff, students, and their families and friends are invited to participate in the Onward 5K Walk/Run being sponsored by Concordia to raise funds for a scholarship in memory of Concordia professor and chair of Criminal Justice, Scott Harr, J.D., who died unexpectedly on Sept. 30, 2008, at age 55. More than anything, Scott would want a memorial not to be about him, but the students he served so well. He would not want people to look back at things that are finished, but to keep moving "onward" - one of Scott?s signature phrases often used to conclude conversations and correspondence with others.
What: Onward 5K Walk/Run
When: Saturday, Oct. 24
Time: 10 a.m.
Where: Como Lake, 1360 Lexington Parkway North
Entry Fees/ $20/adult, $10 children under 12 through Oct. 18
Deadlines: $25/adult, $15 children under 12 from October 19-23
No race day registration available.
Race number and T-shirt pick-up will available race day only.
