Wondrous Variety in God's gift to His church
Overseas missions and a small town congregation. An inner-city church start and outreach to First Nation villages only accessible by boat. God has blessed this year’s graduates of the Director of Christian Outreach Program with a marvelous variety of internship experiences as they prepared for outreach leadership in the church. Josh Patterson, Emily Owen, Angelina Tangren and Andrew and Nicole Bradshaw are examples of how the Lord of the church continues to call forth servants with a heart for those who do not know Jesus as their Savior, and a desire to lead the Church in carrying out the Great Commission.
Do you know of an opportunity for outreach in your district, your town, perhaps even your congregation, that would benefit from strong leadership? Josh, Emily, Angelina, Drew and Nicole are just the latest in a nearly 30 year history of outreach leadership preparation. If you would like to know more about what a DCO could do to help focus, encourage and equip the outreach efforts in your area, contact Professor Phillip Johnson, the DCO program coordinator at Concordia University, St. Paul. Small or large, crosscultural or just across the street, the variety of outreach opportunities are there every day and in every kind of community – just ask our new graduates!
