Kayla Vrudny planned to major in music when she first came to Concordia, but as she explored her understanding of Lutheran principles and developed greater confidence in her faith, she felt a growing passion for a career as in Elementary Education a Lutheran Classroom Teacher.

“Although I know there is much more to learn, I feel like I am well on my way to a successful career in teaching.”

The Concordia community also provided Kayla the opportunity to explore her interests and abilities through involvement extracurricular activities. “The smaller campus provides a comfortable place to meet new people and make friends,” Kayla said.

“I was involved the Jubilate choir and Chamber Ensemble,” Kayla said. “It was a great way to meet people who share my love of music. I also went on a couple of service trips, which were a blast! It was a great way to meet new people I normally wouldn’t have encountered. I’ve made friends that I’ll have for life.”
