Samuel attended a couple colleges and changed his major several times before finding his place at Concordia. “I was in a summer economics course at a local community college and three students from Concordia’s cohort program were in that course with me,” said Samuel. “I saw the companionship that those three had and I wanted the same.”

“The cohort option was great for me to focus my degree,” Samuel said. “I liked how I would be with the same group of students throughout the program. When life got in the way, I had team members I could count on for support.”

Samuel attributes his promotion at work to his successful application of concepts he learned in class. “I used my degree program’s Advanced Research Project to implement changes at the company I work for,” Samuel said. “Being able to leverage what I was doing in school for work was great and it helped me succeed. I received a promotion to Lead Desktop Analyst, an award and a monetary reward, and helped the company operate more efficiently.”
