  • Entrepreneur Incubator Certificate

    Concordia University College of Business and Organizational Leadership/School of Continuing Studies

    Total Time: 16-24 months/19-23 credits

    Goal: The goal of the Entrepreneur Incubator Certificate is to equip participants with a flexible, innovative, academic program that is specifically designed for individuals to become superb entrepreneurs; entrepreneurs who plan and build successful enterprises. The courses are applicable for all start ups - traditional, lifestyle, micro business, independent contractor, MRS (Multiple Revenue Streams), franchise or acquisition opportunities.

    These courses provide the opportunity for participants to chart their own futures via motivated individuals and relevant coursework. This certificate enables individuals to complete the program at their own pace based on their current lifestyle and employment situation. Upper division college credit is awarded (with the option of graduate credit for some classes) so that these credits may be transferred to an accredited institution and applied towards a bachelor's degree.

    Phase I Students complete the Entrepreneur certificate in either online self paced or in-class instructor lead classes over 4-12 months the time span depends on the learner's preferred pace and delivery (5 Courses/ 15 credit hours awarded)

    Leadership:
    Topics in Leadership and Theory (3 credits)
    Supervisory Leadership Tools (3 credits)
    (automatic credit may be awarded by Concordia for military NCOs or Officers from AARTS/SMARTS/CCAF transcript)

    Marketing:
    Innovative Marketing & Promotional Strategies (3 credits)

    Small Business Entrepreneurship:
    The Foundation for Entrepreneurial Success (3 credits)
    Feasibility Study and Analysis (3 credits)

    Phase II 5 Day hands on residency (3 credit hours awarded)

    Advanced Small Business Entrepreneurship

    Students are exposed to the 'nuts and bolts' of business ownership through experiential workshops and lessons from leading entrepreneurs in the community. Students will engage in experimental workshops to write business plans, raise capital, attract customers, and develop growth strategies that are most effective for their business model.


    Phase III
    One year of ongoing support/mentorship (1-5 credits awarded)

    Combination of online support, one on one mentorship, and peer monthly meetings.
