Take a break from the books and seize all that Concordia has to offer. With so many ways to get involved with life on campus, you’ll have no problem filling your days with activities, opportunities and memories!
Try out one or more of our clubs and organizations, from intramural athletics to academic clubs to drama and music ministry. Can’t find the activity that you’re really excited about? Contact Student Senate to start your own club from the ground up… you may even get your idea funded!
Sometimes you may want to stay busy without the regular commitment. Find an event to attend! With 15 NCAA Division II teams to root for, there are home games nearly every week of the year (we have SEVEN national championships… you’ll have plenty to cheer about). The Concordia Art Gallery rotates exhibitions throughout the year and there are plenty of music and theatre performances to keep the right side of your brain engaged. Additionally, there’s nearly always a CSP Ministry event to help you grow in your faith. And when you need nothing more than some relaxation and laughs, you can always grab a few friends to gab, watch a movie, or play games in a student lounge.
Concordia campus events are some of the best times you’ll enjoy during the school year. Welcome Weekend is a full slate of CSP initiation featuring orientation, service events, free meals and entertainment, work study job fair, and more! Comet’s Carnival takes place each fall at homecoming and includes rides, food and special events. Strawberry Festival and Knollapalooza come around each spring to get you outside following a long winter. Fingers crossed, you’ll be able to bask in the sunshine with your friends while enjoying games and live music.
Service-learning and volunteering are foundational elements of Concordia’s mission. The Community Action, Leadership, and Learning (CALL) Center provides you with numerous opportunities to discover your profession, your community and the world through serving others. With an array of opportunities, students combine for more than 7,000 service and volunteering hours per year.
