Think you have to choose between the convenience of urban life and the comfort and safety of a small campus community? At Concordia, you can have both! Our campus location allows you to become a thread in the weave of our Concordia community while also providing you ample opportunities to meet and mingle with other college students and enjoy the action and adventure of the Twin Cities.

The Neighborhood

Concordia is located in the "College District" of St. Paul within the Summit-University neighborhood. You’ll enjoy the energetic and youthful sense of community with other nearby college students, as well as the beautiful sights of historic homes and businesses. Watch the neighborhood come to life at Grand Avenue’s cozy pubs, sidewalk cafés and unique shops. Or take in the eclectic mix of modern and traditional architecture, beautifully restored Victorian homes and wonderful views of the downtown St. Paul skyline from the historic Selby and Summit Avenues.

The Twin Cities

There’s never a dull moment in Minneapolis-St. Paul, and you’ll be living within easy access to all of the action! Just 10 minutes from the downtowns of either city, Concordia is the prime jumping off point for shopping, dining, museums, sporting events, amusement parks, zoos, concerts and much more.  In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, you’re never very far from nature – even in the heart of the city. Miles of biking and walking trails, parks and golf courses are dotted throughout the metro.

If you’re into the arts and entertainment scene, it’s all here. There are dozens of outstanding museums and theatres (check out special student prices); in fact, the Twin Cities have more theatre seats per capita than any other metropolitan area outside of New York City! You can get your fill of live music with hundreds of music cafés, clubs and major concert venues just minutes away.

Whether you’re a hometown fan or an out-of-state transplant, there is no shortage of sports teams to follow. The Twin Cities is home to professional football, men’s and women’s basketball, hockey, baseball and even lacrosse. For a unique outing, be sure to check out the semi-pro St. Paul Saints during their summer baseball season.
