Concordia University, St. Paul is uniquely positioned to provide its students with as close to a traditional learning environment as possible due to its small class sizes and availability of learning spaces on campus.
In order to achieve this goal of continuing to deliver a successful in-person, on-campus learning experience, CSP is asking its instructors and students to follow these simple behaviors and steps to help keep a safe, clean and healthy classroom environment:
Please allow students and instructors from the previous session to fully exit the classroom in an orderly fashion before entering.
All members of a classroom/lab environment will be required to use their personal face coverings.
Students will be seated in assigned seats through the duration of the semester, a consistent measure to aid in contact tracing if necessary.
It is the expectation that all students, faculty & staff provide their own face covering (mask or shield) and hand sanitizer. While there will be sanitizer stations located at strategic and higher traffic areas & entry points on campus, individuals should have their own sanitizer to be used anytime they come in contact with shared surfaces or supplies or cough/sneeze. Individuals who forget their face covering may stop by the security office for a replacement.
CSP has implemented campus-wide disinfecting schedules which include high traffic and shared areas along with its classrooms and meeting rooms. This will be done at strategic points in the day.
Instructors will be required to spray shared surfaces (including each desk space) leaving the surface covered and wet with a provided disinfectant.
Following the previous instructor spraying desk spaces, students entering the room for the following class will use a provided paper towel to wipe their personal desk space to ensure their area is sanitized. If needed, students could respray their surface if sufficient surface was not covered.
Classroom Disinfectant Kits
Sodexo is providing disinfectant kits to all classrooms and departments on campus. The intent is to have a kit in each classroom for instructors to use between classes this fall. Each department will also receive one kit over the summer months. The disinfectant kits will be deployed in phases, with priority given to the most active areas.
Each kit includes:
- 1 bottle of Oxivir (cleaner)
- 1 roll of paper towel
- 1 box of gloves
- Safety Data Sheet on how to use Oxivir (lamented document)
- Cleaning Procedures (laminated document)
