Janet Rounsville - MSN, RN

Nursing Faculty

Janet Rounsville is the Pre-Licensure BSN Program Coordinator and helped develop the Pre-Licensure BSN program and prepare it for approval. She joined the College of Health & Science at Concordia University in January 2017.

Rounsville’s previous academic experience has included roles as an instructor for clinical, lab, low fidelity simulation, and theory at a for-profit institution for nearly five years. She has been a nurse for 24 years and has worked in the emergency department for 18 years. Her clinical experience prior to the emergency department included medical, surgical, ortho, and pediatric patients.  Rounsville also has had 11 years managerial experience within the emergency department. She was responsible for starting the Shared Governance Model in the emergency department.

Students who need to contact the instructor are encouraged to send an email message whenever possible. Your instructor will be checking email regularly during the weekdays. Email is a good way to document messages and can be ongoing. Students can expect a response to their emails within 24-48 hours during weekdays and may request a phone or WebEx meeting. Your instructor will be checking the discussion board regularly as time permits. Assessment of assignments and grades will be updated regularly, within a week of the due date. Receiving feedback from assignments can be viewed through the “My Grades” section of Blackboard.
