Jayne Jones

Adjunct Professor

A graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and Concordia University, St. Paul, Jayne Jones worked for U.S. Senator Norm Coleman from 2002-2006, then headed to the Minnesota House of Representatives, where she was the Executive Assistant to the Speaker of the House, Steve Sviggum. Following her passion to teach others about the legislative process, Jones teaches political science courses and encourages the Minnesota Capitol to be her student’s real life classroom. Jones’ students have gained national attention for their legislative activities and met personally with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and among other national and state leaders.

Jones is a member of the Concordia University Advancement Committee, and a former inner city Girl Scout troop leader. She is proud of her work with Margaret’s Missions, ensuring travelers with disabilities get access to see the world and enjoy life’s greatest adventures! Jayne is married to a hockey coach and has a 15-year-old daughter.
