Adjunct Professor of Contemporary Singing Styles
Jennifer Scovell Parker has over 20 years of teaching experience in higher education having held teaching positions at Washington State University and McNally Smith College of Music. She is currently teaching Popular Vocal Styles Lessons as part of the wonderful voice team at Concordia University, St. Paul.
With her heart in education, Jennifer is busy as a clinician, adjudicator and performer throughout the country. Past highlights include presentations at the Colorado Music Educators Convention, Iowa Music Educators Convention, Washington Music Educators Convention, Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival, Minnesota Music Educators Convention and ACDA. She has had the privilege of directing the North Dakota, Wisconsin and Colorado All State Jazz Choirs along with ensembles at the International Music Camp (IMC), and summer camps in WI, MI, MN and WA.
As a performer she writes and arranges for her own Quartet and various artists in the Twin Cities. Her song Sign of Life was featured in the documentary, My Dream, My Right and her song Home has been arranged and published for Matfal Music.
