Joseph Arvidson

Criminal Justice Adjunct Professor

Joseph Arvidson has taught at Concordia University since the year 2000. Over the years he has taught both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, but all his courses have been within criminal justice. Arvidson has been a criminal justice practitioner since 1988, working in the field of Community Corrections.

Beginning his career with the Florida Department of Corrections, he currently works for the Ramsey County Community Corrections Department in their Staff Training and Development Unit.

He is proud to be a member of Concordia’s Criminal Justice Executive Advisory Board, where he provides and shares his insight, professional experience, and organizational knowledge to help ensure that Concordia University continues to provide a responsive and relevant curriculum which will nurture future leaders in the Criminal Justice fields of service. Arvidson is also Executive Director of The Paragon Group, LLC, which strives to promote and advance evidence-based practices in the arena of criminal justice.

His love of listening to various podcast lead him to combine that passion with his vocational zeal, and he now produces and co-hosts his very own podcast… The Criminologist.
