Sean Michael Dooley

Adjunct Professor in Theatre

Sean Michael Dooley has stayed busy working as a teacher, director and performer in the Twin Cities since receiving his MFA in Acting from the University of Minnesota in 1998. Onstage Sean has been seen at The Illusion Theatre, Chameleon Theatre Circle, The Children’s Theatre Company, Mixed Blood Theatre, The History Theatre, The Jungle Theatre, Door Shakespeare and Chanhassen Dinner Theatre.

Most recently Sean played Cliff in Theatre Latte Da’s Cabaret and Charles Bentham in the Guthrie Theatre’s Juno and the Paycock.  Sean has appeared on screen in the film Memorial Day (2011) and the upcoming Wilson with Woody Harrelson and in the Netfilx series Lady Dynamite with Maria Bamford.  As a teacher Sean has taught at Century College, North Hennepin Community College, Hope College, Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, the Guthrie Theatre and the University of Wisconsin, River Falls where he has directed dozens of plays, including Richard III and The Spitfire Grill.  He can be seen next in the Old Log Theatre’s production of Blithe Spirit opening in March of 2016.
