Dr. Shani Johnson
Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Shani Johnson joined the DPT faculty at Concordia University in Spring 2016. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska in 1988. She received her MSPT from the University of Iowa in 1992 and her DScPT from Andrews University in Michigan, 2012. Through the years she has practiced in a variety of settings including subacute, skilled nursing, transitional, outpatient and women’s health. She has spoken at the state level and has provided instruction to licensed physical and occupational therapists nationally.
Dr. Johnson has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since she graduated in l992. She is currently serving as the Chair for the Northwest District of the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association (WPTA) and is an active Board Member for the WPTA. She is also an active member of the Orthopedics Section, the Section on Women’s Health, the Private Practice Section and the Private Practice Special Interest Group.
