Stephanie Hunder

Professor of Art

Stephanie Hunder teaches printmaking and digital media at Concordia University, St. Paul, where she is Department Chair, Gallery Director and Professor of Art. She received her BFA (1993) and MA (1997) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and her MFA (2000) from Arizona State University. Her current work addresses relationships through natural iconography, and combines photographic and digital techniques with traditional printmaking processes.

In 2012, Hunder participated in an exhibition at MCAD with a CSP student and a CSP alumna in which they collaborated on a work. (The exhibition was of local art department chairs collaborating with current or past students). It was a very successful piece, and was featured in several of the articles about the exhibition. Hunder has also been working to make the gallery an active part of Concordia’s campus. She is one of the founders of the College Art Gallery Collaborative (CAGC), originally five and now over 10 local college galleries that sponsor group activities like our Fall Art Tour (supported by ACTC). The tour has free bus rides around to the various campuses so students can see a number of exhibitions.
