Dr. Steve Ross
Associate Professor of Sport Management
Stephen Ross, Ph.D., joined the faculty at Concordia University, St. Paul in the fall of 2015 after spending 12 years at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Ross’ research interest include brand management of sport, sport fan psychology, and sport tourism. He has worked with many professional sport teams in the United States and globally, as well as having assisted many intercollegiate athletic departments with market research. His research has resulted in over 40 peer-reviewed articles in journals including Journal of Sport Management, Sport Marketing Quarterly, and European Sport Management Quarterly.
Dr. Ross has also presented over 70 peer-reviewed conference presentations at both national and international conferences, and is one of the few scholars in the world to be named a Research Fellow in both the Northern American Society of Sport Management (NASSM) and the Sport Marketing Association (SMA). He loves working at Concordia University, St. Paul because of the rich liberal arts environment, tight-knit community, and strong teaching quality.
