Zachary Humes is a theater designer, primarily in sound, whose work concentrates in original plays, world-premieres, devised pieces and work from emerging playwrights. He has designed with Theatre de la Jeune Lune, La Jolla Playhouse, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Mabou Mines/SUITE, The University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theatre, The Moving Company, Mu Performing Arts, Mixed Blood Theatre, Four Humors Theater, Frank Theatre, Brave New Workshop, History Theatre, Open Eye Figure Theatre, Minnesota Fringe Festival, Cleveland Public Theater, Dobama Theatre, and with other small companies in the Midwest. His sound design for Jeune Lune’s “Figaro” at the Berkeley Rep. was nominated for a Bay Area Critics Circle Award in 2008.
