A Message from President Friedrich

event

Office of the President

Continuing our series on our diversity plan, our second goal concerns the recruitment and development of faculty and staff. As our employees work to support our learners on their educational journey, it’s important that they appreciate the splendor of cultures from which our students come and are sensitive to both the differences and similarities students bring to CSP’s learning community.

CSP is intentional about providing relevant training for our faculty and staff to work with a diverse population of students. Informed by our mission of “preparing students for thoughtful and informed living” and our promise statement “to welcome all and honor Christ” as we do so, these learning opportunities strengthen our employees’ understanding of complex issues and respond to our students’ unique strengths, needs, and challenges.

Another key aspect of this goal is to recruit and promote employees from diverse backgrounds that reflect the diversity of our student body. We know that a student experience delivered in the context of the Christian Gospel is enriched and enhanced by opportunities to learn from and work with faculty and staff who bring a variety of perspectives and experiences to the learning task.

As a university, we work intentionally with our faculty and staff as they thoughtfully engage our students throughout their time at CSP. Ultimately, this promotes the best possible outcomes for each graduate in their lives and careers.
