Concordia Expands Partnership with North Hennepin Community College

NHCC President John O'Brien and Concordia Senior Vice President Eric LaMott at the signing ceremony signifying the schools' new partnership.

Concordia University, St. Paul will begin offering students at North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) the opportunity to complete a four-year Bachelor’s of Arts in Business at NHCC’s Brooklyn Park location beginning in Fall 2013.

To help ensure a seamless transition from an associate’s to a bachelor’s degree, Concordia will staff an office on NHCC’s campus, providing a convenient location for students to meet with admissions representatives and faculty.

Students can complete their bachelor’s degree in two years or less through Concordia’s accelerated cohort program model, taking classes on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings at NHCC’s campus. Concordia offers a $2,000 scholarship to NHCC graduate students who transfer into its four-year degree program. Students can bring their associate’s degree, finish their bachelor’s degree, or start their Master’s degree through Concordia’s convenient offerings in face to face classes or online.

Concordia’s partnership with NHCC strengthens its commitment to community colleges as it continues to arrange articulation agreements that allow students to transfer credits toward a four-year degree at Concordia.
