Graphic Design Students Awarded $1,500 Scholarship from AIGA Minnesota

Concordia University, St. Paul graphic design students Nick Neary and Bee Xiong were awarded $1,500 scholarships by AIGA Minnesota at its 2016 Portfolio 1-on-1 event earlier this month. Over 35 portfolios were submitted with only seven earning scholarships.

The annual conference allows design students the opportunity to connect with experienced professionals, receive constructive feedback and intensive reviews of their portfolios, and promotes interactions among other aspiring design students.

“These awards illustrate our program’s commitment to producing student portfolios responsive to the highest expectations of a highly competitive creative profession.” Concordia graphic design professor John Dufresne said.

AIGA Minnesota supports the interests of professionals, educators and students who are engaged in the process of designing, regardless of where they are in the arc of their careers.
