Hmong Culture & Language Program Benefit Concert

The Hmong Culture & Language program at Concordia University, St. Paul is celebrating its 10th anniversary by hosting a benefit concert featuring local artists at the Buetow Music Center Auditorium on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Doors open at 6 p.m. Ticket prices are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.

All proceeds and donations from the concert will go towards the funding of the program’s two-week Building Bridges Summer Camp. The summer camp, which is attended by Kindergarten through 12th-grade students, features various cultural classes ranging fro Hmong dancing, Hmong writing and reading, traditional instruments, sewing, gardening and more.

The mission of Concordia’s Hmong Culture & Language program is to preserve the Hmong culture through storytelling, gardening and art.
