Honors Program Students Visiting Rome During Spring Break

Honors program students from Concordia University are touring Rome during spring break (Feb. 24-Mar. 3) as part of their capstone course that focuses on the connections between faith and learning.

The Delta Class of the University Honors Program in litteris fideque (in learning and faith) are visiting sites and museums from the Roman period through the Baroque and Neo-Classical periods as well as many sacred sites.

Students David Edwards (’13), Daniel Ondov (’13), Anna Shaw (’13), Kyle Sorkness (’13), Carrie Tignanelli (’12), Jay Weiler (’14) and Jackie Wiebold (’14) are being accompanied on the trip by Dr. Mark Schuler, director of the University Honors Program and chair of Concordia’s Department of Religion and Theology.

The group was in St. Peter’s Square for the final general audience of Pope Benedict XVI on Feb. 26.
