Marketing Students Take Third at LCEF Competition

A semester-long marketing project for a team of five students from Concordia University, St. Paul garnered third-place honors at the fifth annual National Student Marketing Competition, sponsored by the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF). Teams representing nine Concordia University System Schools participated in the event.

Guided by professor Nancy Harrower, CSP’s team included Alexandra Van Guilder, Jordyn Joens, Rebecca Rust, Nicole Mansur and Lydia Hook. The objective of their campaign, titled “We Stand Together”, was to ignite ministry leaders’ imaginations in how they can extend their outreach with LCEF’s financial and ministry services.

Concordia Texas took top honors followed by runner-up Concordia New York. CSP is the only school to place in the top three all five years this competition has been held. Each participating team earned a cash prize, ranging from the $5,000 first-place award to $750 participation prizes.
