Congratulations on your acceptance to Concordia University, St. Paul! Now that you have been accepted to the university, the following items must be completed prior to your acceptance to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
Prior to being accepted to the Pre-Licensure Nursing program please compile and email all materials as a packet to the CSP Nursing Department:
Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency via examination if (1) English is not their native language, and (2) the applicants have lived in the US fewer than eight years at the time of application.
Applicants are exempt from taking an English proficiency exam if their native language is English or they have been in the US, as a non-native English speaker, for more than eight years. English proficiency may be demonstrated by one or more of the following tests:

These requirements are based on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing recommendations as published in the following studies:
All prerequisite courses must have been completed in the past five years with a grade of ‘C’ or higher in order to count toward the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Any courses being transferred from other institutions must be verified as equivalent to CSP’s prerequisite courses. Verify course equivalencies using the Transferology tool.
Biology I, General Chemistry I, Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Microbiology must have a combined GPA of 2.75 or greater.
*Biology requisite would be met with successful completion (C or higher) of Microbiology and A&P I&II.
Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) must be submitted with a score of 62% or greater.
If TEAS Math score is below 63.3%, MAT 095 must be taken prior to MAT 165.
Submit documentation of a successfully completed Nursing Assistant Course (no older than five years) OR a Nursing Assistant Registry document.

Once accepted to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, there are a numbers of items that will need to be completed prior to registering for your courses. The additional items are required to satisfy clinical agency requirements.

Once you have submitted your application packet, the Nursing Department will communicate your acceptance decision once all application files have been reviewed following the application deadline.
To apply for financial aid, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and choose Concordia University, St. Paul using the code 002347.
Approximately two weeks after submitting the FAFSA you will receive notification of your financial aid award package.
There is a half-day mandatory Nursing Orientation before the start of the semester for all students accepted to the Nursing program. Time and date of the orientation will be communicated to you once you are accepted.
If you plan to park on campus or commute to your classes, you must register any vehicles with CSP Security. Once you register your vehicle(s), you will be able to pick up a parking permit from our Security office during the first week of classes.

Purchase your textbooks through Concordia’s bookstore:
Concordia participates in the College Pass program through the Twin Cities Metro Transit.
Bus passes cost $165 per semester and are valid for use on the following dates:
Passes can be purchased at our cashier window on campus once they become available. Fall semester passes will be available for purchase in August 2018.
Visiting campus is a great way to get to know Concordia. If you have not already done so (or even if you have!) we strongly encourage you to visit us.
Please complete and submit the 2018-2019 housing application along with the $125 housing down payment (non-refundable after May 1, 2018). The housing application cannot be processed without payment.
Students requiring any accommodations should complete the housing accommodation form and contact Student Accessibility Services at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible when applying for housing. The deadline for accommodation requests is May 1 for fall term and December 1 for spring term.
