CSP Global today announced the addition of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program traditional track at its Denver campus, expanding the nursing options available to students in the Denver metropolitan area. The new BSN program traditional track complements the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program track already offered at the Denver location, giving prospective nursing students two distinct pathways into the profession. The Denver BSN program combines in-person classroom instruction with hands-on experience in high-fidelity simulation labs and supervised clinical practice in real healthcare settings.

CSP Global is an academic division of Concordia University, St. Paul, a private university founded in 1893. Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, the university is a highly respected institution with a long history in nursing education. The Denver campus, which became part of the Concordia University system in late 2024 when Concordia University assumed operations of the former Platt College, also has a longstanding history in healthcare education in the region.

The new Denver-based BSN program traditional track is built on the foundation of the university’s longstanding and proven BSN program at its St. Paul, Minnesota, and Portland, Oregon campuses. Students can earn their nursing degree in as little as 32 months through a year-round academic calendar that includes summer sessions, offering an accelerated timeline compared to a traditional four-year face-to-face program, while maintaining the engagement and depth of in-person learning.

With three start dates per year – January, May, and September – the new Denver-based program is designed to accommodate a range of student timelines and reduce wait times for admission.

“Expanding our nursing portfolio in Denver reflects the growing demand for highly qualified professional nurses in Colorado and across the country,” said Dr. Hollie Caldwell, Dean of the College of Nursing for CSP Global. “The new BSN traditional track offering gives students who prefer an in-person learning experience a clear and supported pathway to a nursing career. Our program is proven through years of success at our campus in Denver, as well as our nursing programs in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Portland, Oregon.”

Program Structure and Student Experience

Students build a comprehensive foundation across the sciences, including human anatomy, physiology, biology, and chemistry. They also complete rigorous core nursing coursework in all specialties required by the Colorado Board of Nursing including adult medical-surgical nursing, obstetrics, pediatrics, and mental health. Additionally, students will complete important foundational nursing courses to include pathophysiology, pharmacology, informatics, and evidence-based practice. CSP nursing students also complete a course in aging, chronicity, and palliative care to have the most up-to-date knowledge and skills to care for Colorado’s aging population.

Students gain experience in a variety of healthcare and community-based settings throughout the Denver metropolitan area, preparing them to serve as baccalaureate generalists across the scope of professional nursing upon graduation.Students will benefit from experienced faculty, state-of-the-art skills labs, and clinical learning experiences rotations in a variety of  Denver-area hospitals, healthcare facilities, and community-based agencies.

The on-campus face-to-face BSN program traditional track is designed to meet the needs of several student types, including high school graduates seeking an in-person learning environment, students who may be waitlisted at other nursing programs and eager for a more immediate start, and transfer students who seek more personalized academic support.

Enrollment for the new BSN offering at the Denver campus will begin in September 2026, with the first cohort of students expected to begin their program in September 2027. Financial aid is available, including federal grants, loans, scholarships, and payment plans.
