What is Ignite?

Ignite Leadership Scholars is a flexible professional-development program for CSP students who want to build their skills, embrace their strengths, and prepare for their future careers. Through a choose-your-own adventure model, students will engage in interactive workshops, networking opportunities, service projects, 1-on-1 career mentorship, and an optional off-campus retreat, all of which are designed to help students become thoughtful, confident, effective leaders. Most events take place on campus at accessible times, so students with complex schedules can still participate. Completion of the program will be reflected on students’ official CSP transcripts and celebrated at a special Ignite graduation ceremony.

Different events for students to choose from, ranging from resume workshops to campus cleanup efforts.

Semester to complete the program, but students can take as much time as they need!

Prepare for What’s Next

The mission of Ignite Leadership Scholars is to prepare CSP students to flourish as leaders by equipping them with marketable skills, practical habits, and transformational mindsets.

After completing Ignite Leadership Scholars, students will be able to:

Embrace a growth mindset and a posture of learning.
Respectfully engage with a wide range of opinions and perspectives.
Identify personal strengths and effectively communicate them.
Solve problems through collaboration and strategic decision-making.
Create a professional, engaging resume and LinkedIn profile.

Core Ignite Workshops

This workshop is designed to equip students with key leadership skills such as collaboration and adaptability. Through interactive discussions, activities, and reflection, students will learn what it means to be a flexible, compassionate leader and walk away with actionable strategies for putting their leadership into practice.
This workshop is designed to empower students to explore new perspectives and help them become more emotionally intelligent. Through interactive discussions, activities, and reflection, students will build their capacity for compassionately engaging with people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions.
In this workshop, Students will take the StrengthsFinder assessment (all costs paid by CSP – free for students) to learn their top five strengths. Then, they will engage in interactive discussions, activities, and reflection to explore those strengths and practice how to communicate them to future employers.
