CSP Growth Trends Lead Among Many Peer Institutions

event

Admissions, Innovation & Growth

Enrollment trends for higher education institutions is a hot topic in today’s media landscape. Many public and private institutions are facing steep declines, including some of our Concordia University System peers.

Concordia University, St. Paul continues to buck those national trends, which positions us well for growth in the coming years. Comparing specifically within the Concordia network, CSP is the only institution with a positive trendline in recent years, due in large part to our student-centered approach across our undergraduate and graduate programs.

The image below shows unique student enrollment for the Concordia network from 2016 to the current academic term. You’ll see that CSP shows a steady growth trend that dates back further to our Tuition Reset of nearly a decade ago. Since that time, CSP has doubled in enrollment.

Every academic year shown in the CUS 6 yr enrollment trendline graph (from right to left) showcases the hard work and dedication of CSP’s faculty and staff to recruit and retain students. It underscores the prioritization of building genuine relationships and staying true to CSP’s promise statement; to prepare students for thoughtful and informed living, for dedicated service to God and humanity, for enlightened care of God’s creation, all within the context of the Christian Gospel.

CSP continues to follow strategic plans that have led us to our position as Minnesota’s second-largest private college. Our next iteration of growth will focus on maintaining the healthy near-capacity enrollment of our traditional student population along with assertive growth potential for our online and graduate offerings. Watch for more information about these initiatives in the weeks ahead.
