At the 46th Winchell Undergraduate Research Symposium, it was a standout day for Concordia University, St. Paul science students. Surrounded by nearly 50 research posters from peers across institutions, CSP students didn’t just participate, they made a lasting impression.

By the end of the event, every single CSP science poster had earned the Judges’ Choice Award, an extraordinary clean sweep that spoke to the depth of their work and the dedication behind it. Students Jordan Vang, Kueh Lay, Zoe D’Alessandro, Logan Studer, Rebecca Gustafson, Ashlyn Callison, and Mia Lawrence stood proudly beside their research, representing not only their projects but the strength of undergraduate science at CSP.

The momentum carried beyond the poster session. Seniors Anna Palony and Chloe Rihon took the stage to deliver oral research presentations, confidently sharing their work and insights with a wider audience.

Moments like this reflect what undergraduate research at CSP is all about. It begins with curiosity, grows through commitment, and leads to meaningful recognition. Behind each presentation and award is a story of long hours, problem solving, collaboration, and a drive to make an impact.

It was more than a successful day. It was a powerful reminder of what CSP students are capable of achieving.
