These resources are designed to ease the transition from high school courses to PSEO courses for both you and your student. Whether your student is coming from a homeschooled, public, or private school environment, they will thrive at Concordia University, St. Paul with the guidance and support from CSP faculty members, admissions counselors, and academic advisors.
Supporting Your Student Through the PSEO Process
Application Process
- Application Open Dates: Fall PSEO applications open in January and Spring PSEO applications open in September.
- Deadlines: Fall PSEO applications are due May 1 and Spring PSEO applications are due December 1.
Course Selection
Work with your student’s high school counselor to ensure chosen courses align with your student’s high school graduation requirements.
- Students are recommended to take 100 and 200 general education level courses for PSEO.

Understanding FERPA
- Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), college students have the right to privacy over their academic records, even if parents or guardians are helping them through the college process. At CSP, students are asked to provide personal information so we can offer appropriate services, support, and academic guidance. This information becomes part of their education record and is protected to ensure privacy and prevent improper disclosure. We encourage families to maintain open communication with their students about their academic journey.

Transportation
If taking on-campus courses, please plan for transportation.
- Parking at CSP is free! Parking permit is required.
- College Pass is offered by CSP to give students an affordable way to get to school, reduce parking demand and are valid for unlimited rides on all regional buses and trains. Students can purchase passes through their CSPConnect under the Bus Pass card.

Visit Campus
A great way for your student to feel a sense of belonging and community on campus is by scheduling a tour with us! Visiting CSP prior to starting a PSEO course allows your student to feel comfortable with knowing where to go on campus. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with an admissions counselor during your visit.

Students are able to take PSEO courses through multiple institutions. When your student applies to institutions for their undergraduate program, they will submit transcripts from each institution they have taken a PSEO course through.
