CSP Accounting Students Outperform National Averages on 2024 CPA Exam

Concordia University, St. Paul’s Accounting program continues to stand out at the state and national level. The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) recently released the 2024 CPA Examination results, and CSP students outperformed both national and state averages in several categories.

Nationally, the average CPA section pass rate was 49.2%, while CSP students achieved an impressive 61.8%. CSP’s average exam score of 73.4 also surpassed the national average of 70.4.

Within Minnesota, CSP ranked second among four-year bachelor’s degree institutions with a section pass rate of 61.8%, just behind the University of Minnesota’s 62.8%.

CSP students especially excelled in core subject areas. Their pass rates in Audit (62.5% vs. 45.8% nationally) and Financial Reporting (57.1% vs. 39.6% nationally) were significantly above the national averages, underscoring the program’s strength in preparing students for success.

These results highlight the exceptional quality of CSP’s Accounting program and the dedication of its students and faculty.
