Concordia University, St. Paul, is proud to announce that Dr. Hollie Caldwell, Dean of the College of Nursing, has been appointed as a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Reviewer. In this national role for nursing program accreditation, Dr. Caldwell will serve as a peer evaluator to determine whether nursing programs meet CCNE’s accreditation standards.
This distinction recognizes Dr. Caldwell’s deep expertise in nursing education and her leadership in growing CSP’s nursing programs on our St. Paul, Portland, and Denver campuses. The appointment also reflects her commitment to academic rigor, clinical excellence, and innovation. CCNE reviewers are carefully selected and trained to conduct peer evaluations of nursing programs nationwide. They help ensure nursing schools uphold the highest standards in curriculum, outcomes, faculty development, and student support.
Dr. Caldwell recently completed intensive training in Alexandria, Virginia, with approximately 50 other new reviewers from around the country. She will now join review teams conducting site visits and analyzing self-study materials to make decisions that help shape the quality of nursing education across the country.
“This is a demanding role, but it brings value to nursing education overall while elevating the profile of CSP’s nursing programs on our three campuses,” noted Dr. Caldwell. “It will also allow for sharing of ideas and best practices to keep our school and those applying for accreditation on a path of continuous improvement.”
Please join us in congratulating Hollie on this important achievement and in celebrating the national recognition of her leadership.
