This fall, Concordia University, St. Paul will mark the retirement of Dr. Lonn Maly, who concludes nearly three decades of faithful service on October 10, 2025. As dean and long-time university leader, Dr. Maly helped shape some of CSP’s most transformative eras, including our expanded graduate programs, enrollment growth, and important support for the transition to NCAA Division II. His Christ-centered leadership, marked by humility, joy, and excellence, has left an enduring legacy across our campus community.
Beginning August 1, Dr. Katie Fischer will step into the role of Dean of the College of CSP Global Education and Humanities. With more than 15 years of higher education leadership, Dr. Fischer brings strategic insight, a deep commitment to mission, and a strong track record of innovation. Her recent work as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Strategic Program Development has strengthened the university’s programmatic vision and institutional alignment. Previously, she served as dean of the College of Health and Science for more than five years, leading significant expansion through key acquisitions and partnerships.
Dr. Fischer’s appointment ushers in an exciting new chapter for our university. Her collaborative leadership and forward-looking approach will help shape the future of academic excellence at CSP, rooted firmly in the mission that defines our university.
