Professor of Education, LCT (Lutheran Classroom Teacher) Program Director, & Chair of Early Childhood Licensure

Dr. Sue Starks has served in the teacher education department at Concordia University since August of 2004. She is the director of the Lutheran Classroom Teacher program, chair of early childhood licensure, and teaches within the K-6 and Birth to Grade licensure tracks along with mentoring teacher candidates during their field experiences. Prior to her time at Concordia, Dr. Starks worked as a preschool teacher and program administrator for over 15 years. She spends time in classrooms on a regular basis, working with and coaching teachers, observing, and interacting with young children. In addition, Dr. Starks presents at conferences sharing her knowledge and expertise, alongside learning a tremendous amount from other early childhood professionals.
