Director of Retail Banking at Luminate Bank
Gretchen Holmgren graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul in 2000 with a B.A. in Communications, a degree that she now uses in her work as Director of Retail Banking at Luminate Bank. In her leadership role, Holmgren applies her communication skills daily in teams, with customers, or navigating strategic decisions. “(CSP) taught me to think and look at things from many different perspectives,” Holmgren says.
CSP’s communication program emphasizes a combination of critical thinking, adaptability, and real world application, helping students build the foundational attributes for success in a wide variety of careers. During her time at CSP, Holmgren managed the demanding balance of working full time and pursuing her career, an experience made possible by the support of faculty and staff.
“My professors cared about me personally and as a student. They were committed to my success and learning.” Holmgren says.
At CSP, students are equipped not only with professional and academic skills, but with a supportive and faith centered environment that encourages growth and success. For Holmgren, CSP was more than a means to an end, it was a place that felt like home.
