Travel Perioperative Nurse at AMN Healthcare
Michael Golden graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul in 2021 with a B.A. in Nursing, which he now uses daily in his career as a Travel Perioperative Nurse with AMN Healthcare. Despite attending CSP during the pandemic, Golden remained involved in the community and gained the skills and experience required to pursue a successful career in nursing.
Golden was very involved during his time at CSP. He was the Director of Professional Development for the Nurses Association on campus, in addition to giving the commencement speech at his graduation. Aside from being involved around campus, Golden describes the way that CSP helped prepare him for his career by saying that it,“it provided me with all the information education I needed to enter the world of nursing.”
CSP’s nursing program provides students with the necessary guidance to prepare for the National Council Licensure Examination, as well as granting students with real world experience through clinical learning that takes place in healthcare settings across the Twin Cities metro area. Golden praised the program saying that the, “Class structure and teacher availability,” were the most valuable resources that CSP had to offer.
The Nursing program at CSP is highly regarded, and Michael Golden was a leader and key contributor to the supportive and successful community even during the chaotic and tumultuous time during the pandemic.
