Assistant Professor of New Testament Studies

Dr. Kendall Davis is Assistant Professor of New Testament Studies at Concordia where he teaches theology and ministry classes, especially classes on the New Testament, Greek, the Bible. He is enthusiastic about mentoring students and instilling a love for the Scriptures as God’s Word for the church today. He completed his PhD in New Testament and Christian Origins at the University of Edinburgh in 2025 where his research focused on messianism and Christology in the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. He has written articles on theology and the Bible for a number of publications including New Testament Studies, Scottish Journal of Theology, Concordia Theological Quarterly, Logia: A Journal of Lutheran Theology, and Lutheran Witness. He has presented at academic and ecclesiastical conferences in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Israel. Prior to coming to Concordia, he and his wife served on the mission field in Hungary.
